It’s been a while since the last post, so here’s what’s going on:
Planned releases for 2019
- “Treats of Fury” – A competitive “full-contact trick-or-treating” board game.
- Untitled TV game – A PICO-8 game involving an unruly set of UHF antennas.
- “Downtown Uproar” – A tabletop RPG love letter to the 16-bit brawlers of yesteryear.
I’d rather not give any sort of release date / ETA / percentage done so far. Some are closer to finished than others.
Buttons!

A big box of 1.25″ buttons bearing the Store Brand Pop “three bottle” logo has arrived. Honestly, I’m not 100 percent sure what I’m doing with these yet. But if you’re reading this, hit up StoreBrandPop on Twitter and tell us about your favorite actual store-brand pop.
Does your local supermarket have a cola or diet cola you enjoy? Is there a chain store that gets their grape or orange pop “just right?” Do you have a particular favorite “generic” caffeinated citrus soda?
I’ll choose a winner at the end of June, then throw one of these in an envelope and send it off. While we don’t actually sell pop, we’re always keen to try some new flavors.
More stuff
As the two tabletop games near completion, I may demo these locally (Metro Detroit area), or even send a few digital pre-release copies to people outside of Michigan. If that’s something you’re interested in, hit me up on one of the SBP social channels.
