Store Brand Pop is a small publisher specializing in tabletop games and fantasy console games.

Who we are

Brian Johnston is a journalist from the Metro Detroit area. He has been playing video games since he was old enough to hold an Atari joystick, and has been playing and game-mastering role-playing games for over 25 years.

Store Brand Pop also features other contributors – mostly friends and acquaintances of Brian. They are welcome to submit short biographies of themselves.

What we’re not

We don’t actually sell pop. Or soda. Or whatever you want to call it.

What’s with the name?

Just like our namesake, we’re low-rent. Remember when you were younger, and planning to stay up all night watching and/or playing stuff? When you were buying junk food for that evening of entertainment, did you go for the name brand stuff? Or did you save your pennies and get the store brand?

If you were ever in that second category – even once in your life – you’re with us. We might not have the big budgets of some other publishers, but we’d like to think our product tastes just as good. More or less.
